Kranji/ sungei buloh day trip

woke up 7.30am today to prepare for the one day trip where 5 generations of peihwa primary sch gather (my dad's generation, a neighbour who is his senior, mine, my bro's, and a current student)

so went to sungei buloh listen to china people explaining about its history, which my father thinks that its sad for singaporeans like us who dun even noe abt our own country haha. walked ard till 12pm see see look look, saw the commonwealth art tiles which bring back some memories, saw alot of otters and monitor lizards with some within 30cm radius. didnt see much mudskippers compared to previous few trips.

went for lunch at a bistro nearby where the food is nice and well priced, and it was sort of an eyeopener meal for me. did i mention that one of the uncles who tagged along is a millionaire? ( he drove the latest ferrari f430 spider that was displayed during this year f1 aka $1000,000, went to cape town for a month for world cup and stays in orchard road) So i had a very nice experience of seeing him order his meal together with the typical kiasu singaporeans like us. One goes " can i have this side order, this appetizers , this medium rare ribeye, this dessert and the house wine", while the rest goes " Wah, $22 for one main course!!! WAHHHH $17 for salads?! think i will have the $15 fish n chips and can i have a glass of iced water"
guess this is the difference when you have a few more zeros than others in ur pay cheque.
so after we had our meal, ferrari uncle decided to pick up the tab for us so im guessing my neighbours was feeling angry over nt ordering more, since they felt the most cheapskate to me as they keep asking the waiter why other tables gt free jack o lantern but we did nt have (although the rest paid for them) in the end the waiter just gave them the smallest pumpkin to keep them happy?

went to fish farm and goat farm and took a look around, nothing new since my last visit so it was kinda boring.

finally reach home at 4pm, and feeling freaking tired. work again tml and im getting sick of it =/

MID WEEK AGN!!!!!!

i just love a good snack after work. it just lifts my spirits up =)

doing the damn job of assets tagging now and so sick and tired of it, print barcode, paste barcodes, check room assets = sibei f***ed up job.

just want this over and done with.... 5 more months -.-

everytime going to dhoby ghaut, to the same spot, to the same cabin, it just makes me feel gloomy

4th day of misery

being a skw for all departments suck big time. i just keep moving bulky furnitures up and down and up and down without much help. screw my trainer, she literally think im here to be a cheap labour.'Can move all these chairs and bed frames up to the 3rd floor? Thanks arh, i very tired'
Seriously wtf. moved tens of wooden bed frames and chairs up and earned myself a pair of hands roughed out from all the wood splinters and 2 bruises at both shins at the same height somemore -.-

good thing tml she is on half day. so half a day more and im officially free from SKW work =)

seriously need to feast... sushi buffet =d

Mid of week 3

super shagged week as im now attached to housemen aka the manual labourers.
Been moving stuffs all around the service apartment, from furnitures to paper records of 2003 onwards and even king size mattresses. Worst part is that some of the new storehouses have no lift access so fml =/

cant wait to get out of this section of housekeeping. 2 more days to go!!!!

END OF WEEK 2!!!!!

ok ok finally got mood to blog.

spent time in engineering for the past 3 days and attached to their 'senior technician', uncle jeffery. He can be sum up in 2 phrases; anti government and people hater. so the most frequent question people ask me during these 3 days is 'Working with Jeffery ok mah?'

i basically have to listen to all his bitching and moaning about everything ranging from the late dr. balaji and mrs lee kuan yew, about how 'nice' they are in his eyes to office politics and backstabbing and found out he is always on the wrong side of everything. however i being such a nice guy will have to agree to every single bs he says =/

so repair lightbulb, clear choked sink and see how aircon gets repaired till im freaking sian. good thing is the enormous amount of break i can take after every job done and the arly dismissal time =)

really hope to go front office soon, at least wont get really dirty after work everyday haha

Week 2 Day 2

Today is a happy day =) early in the morning report housekeeping again and got auntie azizah as my trainer. nice lady who just lets me do all the easy part like dusting and making bed instead of washing toilet and dish washing =)

received notice during lunch that im attached to engineering for the rest of the day. went after lunch to report to the head, realised he is resting at sunshine corner and he asked me to join him. so he slept while i read newspaper, both chinese and english and he is still sleeping. so 2hrs after my break he finally woke up and showed me what to do: moving 'ancient stuffs' from the old store to new store. moved a few coffee makers, boxes covered with dead roaches and shit and some roller stuffs. 1/2hr gone. he ask me to take a break again =D so he went smoking break and came back after another 1/2 hr. time now is 4pm. received a complaint by guest so he have to rush up and he suggested that i shldnt tag along. thus he passed me 2 pails of cement to bring up to the new store. did that within 5mins and slacked around, reading more past newspaper and admiring the view. 5pm came and he asked me to go home when im supposed to leave at 6.

Week 2 Day 1

Theme of work: bed, toilet, floor, pots and pans.

these are the 'Few' things that im in charge of while being supervised by auntie wendy sis. Still thought so weird that i would get 2 trainers with same surname initially.
However she is way more stricter than auntie wendy, so i have to keep re-doing my parts and she kept saying im way to slow and inexperienced unlike her and her 內功.

Got a pair of used black crocs as my working shoes for the next 3 weeks and damn it feels good to wear long pants with slippers and walking around like a china worker. People kept thinking i was from china and one even said i look like an indonesian chinese -.-

getting real tired to keep this post long, so counting down to day 2 -.-

finally done with my ns pre enlistee and medical bullshit.

So today was my first experience of TGIF!!!!!!! haha finally knew how SONG adults felt during fri.

attached to realm of aunties (housekeeping) today due to some miscommunications so went around helping auntie wendy tidy up rooms.
fun fact #1: 99% housekeepers are female and old enough to be ur grandma

went ard and realised every angmoh room will have at least a bottle of whisky/vodka and japanese related food (cooked/raw). While cleaning, 2 fellow housekeepers came to help out with checkout room and once they saw a johnnie walker gold label lying in one of the room, they went 'COME COME!!! LETS YUMSHENG!!!!' i still thought 'wah so good can drink on the job'. In the end they drank the mineral water right beside it -.-

Listened to some auntie politics too and found out there are 3 sides. Backstabbers and the Straight talk people and of cuz the neutrals.
fun fact #2: one housekeeper actually survived a fall into the mrt track with only one injured arm

Everything was going super easy for me until auntie wendy told me that october means having to flip the bed over for better maintenance. initially i thought she was going to do it along with me, how wrong of me T-T
so while she tidies up the room and toilets, i have to flip king-size mattresses over and over and over again. seriously thought i was going to dislocate my arm soon. fml. suay suay first department attachment jiu give me jackpot of once every 3 months. too bad nvr buy 4-d for tmr.

so dats it for today. and finally OFF DAYS!!!
